Aaron David Miller is a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, focusing on U.S. foreign policy. Previously he served at the State Department as a Middle East historian, analyst, negotiator, and advisor to Republican and Democratic secretaries of state. He has written five books, most recently, The End of Greatness: Why America Can’t Have (and Doesn’t Want) Another Great President. He is a global affairs analyst for CNN, and a frequent contributor to the Washington Post, Politico, CNN, and USA Today, and is a commentator on NPR, BBC, and Sirius XM radio.
