Ethan Katz is Associate Professor of History and Jewish Studies at the University of California-Berkeley, where since 2019 he has been the co-founder and co-director of the campus Antisemitism Education Initiative. Katz’s research focuses on the modern Jewish experience in Europe and the Middle East, and examines issues of Jewish belonging and exclusion, Jewish-Muslim relations, Islamophobia, and colonialism and its legacies.
