The New York Young Republican Club Has An Antisemitism Problem
A young republican group is at the center of an anti-semitism scandal, again.
This time, it’s the New York Young Republican Club, a nearly 2000 member group that includes members of Congress and has hosted President Trump as a keynote speaker as recently as 2023.
According to a new report in New York Magazine, the group’s now former treasurer operated an extremist X account filled with anti-Jewish and racist hate.
This guy. This isn’t an isolated incident.
Last November, the group’s former executive secretary was fired from One America News Network for posting an AI video that depicted Jews as cockroaches, and according to an anonymous former board member, many of the group’s Jewish board members have reportedly left due to the new group president’s alleged edge lord anti-Semitic. Rhetoric and behavior.
We cannot ignore that this is all happening while party leaders claim to be fighting anti-Semitism and future GOP leaders are consistently contributing to this toxic discourse.
A commitment to Jewish safety means confronting anti-Semitism wherever it shows up, including within your own organizations.
Anything less is just rhetoric.
