The Nexus Project appreciates and encourages the implementation of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Strategy to Combat Antisemitism. We are pleased to see the Nexus Document included among the tools that the New York City government will utilize to identify and confront antisemitism.

Mayor Mamdani’s strategy is rooted in an important recognition that confronting antisemitism is a critical part of the wider struggle against bigotry. Jews have always thrived in pluralistic democracies. When we defend one another and build a society where no group can be singled out for discrimination, we’re all safer and more secure.”
We are particularly encouraged to see the strategy double funding for the Partners Against the Hate (PATH) program as well as significant investment in new resources to secure synagogues, nonprofits and other vulnerable institutions as well as expanding Holocaust and Jewish history and culture education.
This is a very important first step. The strategy’s success now depends on implementation and turning a plan into real action with real impact. We call on everyone across the ideological spectrum to help make it succeed — by offering feedback, working with city and communal partners, and encouraging the mayor’s office to deliver on this promise.
